We have strived to maintain our high levels of service throughout, and with this in mind, it has been necessary to make some changes to our “OVERNIGHT” service. These changes are important to help cope with the extremely high current demand, and the impending additional levels anticipated over the coming Christmas period.
Our overnight partners have brought in the following changes from the 19th October in order to meet these demands and to avoid any adverse effect on the networks performance.
As of the 19th October all freight going through the normal conveyance system will need to either fit in our standard courier bag or be boxed. Please see chart above for full details.
Any freight not meeting the above criteria will have to travel on the non – conveyance system, which will carry your normal surcharge for this service. You will be, contacted before this is actioned, but it may mean a 24- hour delay.
As an alternative, we can send this non- boxed freight via an alternative partner, however this may also incur a 24- hour delay – but pricing will remain unchanged.
In addition, we are proposing to offer a packing service for un- boxed freight as a temporary measure until customers get used to the changes. This will, be charged at £5.00 per box.
I hope you understand that these changes have been, imposed upon us in an effort to keep the Overnight service running as smoothly as possible.
